There are times when it may be best for your pet to be admitted for treatment, care and monitoring. Should your pet need additional care, we will discuss and agree a plan with you, based on your pets needs. We have multiple options available to ensure your pet receives the care that they need and deserve:
- In-house care – we have facilities in place for pets to stay with us overnight if needed. We do not have a dedicated night nurse on site, and checks on your pet will be tailored to their needs based on the reason that they’re staying with us. We will always discuss with you the frequency of the checks your pet will require so that you know what to expect from us.
- Transfer to another local practice – we have teamed up with Henlow Veterinary Centre to provide out-of-hours care for patients. For pets that need more intensive monitoring or treatment, Henlow have a dedicated overnight team and full facilities to care for your pet.
- Referral to a specialist hospital – for more complex cases, or patients that need specialist equipment or surgery, it may be in your pets interest to refer them to a specialist for additional care and expertise.
We will always make sure that you are comfortable with the plan for your pet and are fully aware of the implications and associated costs.
